How to Hack WiFi (in Kali Linux)

 Hacking WiFi is an interesting thing when it comes to use free internet and use another internet for free. But most of the people think that it is impossible to hack WiFi due to its WPA2 security and WPS security is disabled in most of the WiFi routers. There are many ways and many tools to break WLAN security but here I will discuss the most common ways to break wireless security and you can easily use another's WiFi to get internet access. So, without delay, let's begin hacking.

[+] CAUTION

On internet there are many tools available and many sites available that pretends to hack any WiFi. They will ask you to enter a WiFi SSID and after a bit little time they will show you WiFi has been hacked and in order to get password you have to complete survey. These sites 100% will not work. So beware of these fake sites.

[+] TOOLS

There are many tools available on Kali Linux that we can use to hack and crack WiFi passwords without any interruption. I have tried almost all the most popular tools that are used for WiFi pen-testing and hacking WiFi. Some require external WiFi card and some require only your PC card for hacking WiFi. This depends on the Debian OS you are using and also on the tool. In Kali Linux it also varies from version to version. Likewise, Kali's latest versions require you to use external WiFi card but it is not recommended in Kali 2018.3. But it depends on your choice. The most popular tools used for hacking WiFi are:

1. Fluxion (best WiFi hacking tool ever used in my life)

2. Air crack-ng

3. WiFite

4. Fern WiFi Cracker 

5. Reaver

6. PixiWPS 

and the list goes on with tools for hacking WiFi.

[+] REAL WORLD WiFi HACKING USING FLUXION

In this tutorial we will use my favorite tool Fluxion for hacking WiFi. Fluxion is remark of linset tool and linset tool was written in python2 generally and it will not work properly now-a-days. So we will use Fluxion to hack WiFi in this post.

   

 [+] PREQUESTIES

• Kali Linux (preferably) or any other pen-testing distro 
• Stable internet for installing Fluxion
• External WiFi card(recommended) if internal card is not supported
• WiFi network to hack

[+] INSTALLATION

In order to install Fluxion for hacking WiFi we have to download it and install required packages and simply run this tool. All commands to install fluxion for hacking WiFi are given in step by step below:   

git clone https://www.github.com/FluxionNetwork/fluxion.git

cd fluxion 

./fluxion.sh -i 

./fluxion.sh

NOTE! 

In order to prevent any error run command

airmon-ng check kill

First we have to run tool using ./fluxion.sh and after running tool we have to select language. Choose language of your own choice. I choosed English for running fluxion to hack WiFi.

After choosing language you will be prompted to next page where you have to choose wither Capitve Portal Attack to hack WiFi or use WPA handshaker to capture handshake to hack WiFi. Before this we also have to select WiFi adapter that is shown in screenshot below:

We will select WPA hanshake capture option and we have to scan all network WiFi of different frequency to hack WiFi. We will use option 3. to choose all frequencies to hack WiFi. 

Note!

In order to obtain handshake it is recommended that someone is connected to WiFi and WiFi is active.

After it, different windows or shells open to scan WiFi networks. When you found your desired network you have to use Ctrl + C and choose your desired network for hacking WiFi.

So we will select that network and choose network adapter or card if needed and handshake will be captured in almost 90 seconds. After capturing handshake we aill go to home page and select Captive Portal Attack or Ewil Twin Attack.

We will use the same WiFi network and we have to select handshake if not detected automatically and then we have to choose handshake verification method. First we have to choose handshke retrival method also. Use aircrack-ng method here:

We will use cowpatty verification. You can also use other if you want depends on requirements and version also. 

 

In order to hack WiFi, you need to choose pyrit verification. It totally depends on version of Fluxion you are using to hack WiFi. You may need to create a SSL certificate and then you need to launch attack by selecting fake page. 

 

Now, user connected to WiFi will be disconnected and he/she will see a fake WiFi network with same name and as soon as he/she connects to that network and enters password. You will get and he/she will be again connected to original WiFi.
